Enjoy a delicious dinner, the Horses Inside Out Awards hosted by 5* eventer Simon Grieve, special guests including Richard Davison and an exclusive after-dinner talk from Olympic medallist Nicola Wilson.

After Dinner Speech with Equestrian Legend and Olympic Medalist Nicola Wilson

Nicola was an international event rider and part of the Team GB squad. She’s a London 2012 Olympic Silver Medallist, and was European Individual Champion 2021 – 2023. She has also been a member of several Gold Medal winning World and European teams. She’s based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.

Following her career-ending fall at Badminton in 2022, Nicola sustained multiple spinal fractures as well as a condition called “Central Cord Syndrome” that has resulted in the loss of sensation and movement in her extremities. She has now embarked on a successful new career of coaching and mentoring eventers and their horses. Determined to stay positive Nicola, now an accredited coach, BHSI, UKCC level  3 and National youth coach  helps riders to  achieve their dreams. Hear her inspirational story at our conference celebratory dinner.

During the evening, we will celebrate outstanding and lasting contributions to equestrianism, particularly in the fields of equine anatomy, education, and the advancement of horse welfare, with the presentation of the prestigious Freddie Fox Award. This will be announced by Richard Davison.

Also during the evening BETA will announce the winner of the Best Stand Award recognising creativity and professionalism and there will be some surprise awards celebrating 20 years of Horses Inside Out.
